HEALTH PROGRAM:
1. VSP for 5 years
2. OPP flock test
3. Worm as needed - Texels seem to be more parasite resistant.
4. Vaccinate as needed
5. Test and find cause for any unknown death
6. Closed herd with very few introductions and only after at least
4-8 weeks of isolation.
7. No sheep return to flock that have run with another flock.
8. Remove all animals with major undesirable traits.
GOALS:
1. Breed and lamb successfully as lambs at about 1 year of age.
2. Ewes that could raise twins or triplets easily.
3. Lamb with no help.
